Chair

I designed this chair as a signature outdoor piece. It draws direct inspiration from the rich tobacco heritage of the South. The colors represent the light and dark blending that happens to the leaves of tobacco as they dry. The crosshatch design of the seat and back are modeled after the baskets that were used to carry tobacco leaves. See pictures below of the process I went through to create this chair by hand in the machine shop.
